Brooklyn Park Man Sentenced to 71 Months’ Imprisonment for Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm

ST. PAUL – United States Attorney Daniel N. Rosen announced that Antonio Depries Arnold, 34, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, was sentenced to 71 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm. Arnold was sentenced before U.S. District Judge Laura M. Provinzino on November 5, 2026, and he previously pleaded guilty on April 9, 2026.

According to court documents, in January 2025, law enforcement began investigating Arnold after his name was found as a contact in a phone that was a part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Agents began surveilling Arnold in February 2025, and when they observed him getting out of his vehicle, they conducted a swab of the driver’s door, and it tested positive for morphine. Agents also swabbed several items that were recovered from Arnold’s trash on April 15, 2025, and the items tested positive for morphine, cocaine, and oxycodone.

On April 21, 2025, agents executed a search warrant at Arnold’s residence. As they approached Arnold, agents saw the defendant outside his residence, told him to get on the ground, and took him into custody. On the ground several feet away from the defendant, agents located a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol. The defendant admitted to officers that the pistol belonged to him. Arnold had been convicted of at least one crime and knew that possessing a firearm violated the law.

A search of the residence by the agents also revealed three additional firearms and ammunition, as well as approximately 135 grams of cocaine, 6.6 grams of fentanyl, and 0.46 grams of methamphetamine.

This case was the result of an investigation by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Assistant United States Attorney Matthew A. Stone prosecuted this case.
